Connecting Rod Assembly In SolidWorks


Hi LinkedIn family, today I am showing you the design of the connecting rod assembly made in SOLIDWORKS Dassault Systèmes


This assembly was made using bottom up approach

Parts used in these projects are:
1. Connecting Rod
2. Shim
3. Brasses
4. Bolt
5. Nut
6. Set Screw

Project Description:

A connecting rod assembly is a vital component in internal combustion engines, serving as a crucial link between the piston and the crankshaft. This assembly consists of a connecting rod, which attaches to the piston at one end and the crankshaft at the other. Its primary function is to transmit the reciprocating motion of the piston into rotary motion, thereby converting the up-and-down movement of the piston into the rotational power needed to drive the engine.
