9. Screw Bar
10. Handle
Project Description:
A machine vice, often simply referred to as a "vise" in the United States, is a mechanical tool designed to securely hold and immobilize workpieces during various machining, cutting, or assembly processes. It typically consists of two parallel jaws—one fixed and one movable—operated by a threaded spindle and a handle. The movable jaw can be adjusted to accommodate different workpiece sizes, while the fixed jaw remains in a fixed position.
Machine vices are commonly used in workshops, manufacturing, and metalworking environments, where precision and stability are essential. They come in various sizes and types to suit different applications, such as bench vices, drill press vices, milling vices, and more. The primary function of a machine vice is to ensure that the workpiece remains firmly in place, preventing any movement or vibration during operations like drilling, milling, grinding, or welding. This stability helps achieve accurate and consistent results in various industrial and DIY tasks.
