This assembly was made using the bottom-up approach

Project Description:
This is the type of disc clutch, that uses a single disc called clutch plate. The flywheel drives the single disc which, in turn, rotates the gearbox shaft and the transmission shaft.
A single plate clutch consists of a flywheel, spring, and the pressure plate assembly. The flywheel is connected to the engine shaft and acts as a driving member. The clutch plate is a steel disc. It is connected to the spline spring through the spring. The spleen shaft which is also a gearbox shaft, slides into the hub. There is a friction lining on both sides of the steel disc. The lining is either riveted or bonded on the steel disc. The springs are called tensional springs which absorb the undesirable torsional vibration.

The pressure plate assembly consists of the pressure plate, coil spring or diaphragm spring, release lever, operational figure, and cover. The pressure plate consists of high-tensile grey iron. It is a disc that exerts pressure on the clutch plate to keep it engaged to the flywheel. The pressure is exerted with the help of the coil spring.
